3rd week of uni and I’m already slacking. Honestly, it’s incredible the amount of reading they expect you to finish before every lecture. Not that everyone has finished the required reading - or started on the recommended list! You’d seriously have to have no life to accomplish that - and while I currently do not have much of a social life, I’d like to think I still have better things to do than spend my entire weekend reading up on old cases or the history of English courts which led to the Australian legal system.
Really, I’m so sick of reading this law stuff - it’s HEAVY reading, let me tell you. It’s so tough to skim read and I actually find myself rereading the same sentence over and over again.
However, uni’s…… interesting, I suppose. There are so many characters around - and I’m not just talking about the students. My microeconomics lecturer is like a cartoon character - he’s so cute! He dresses like a 13 year old boy with baggy pants and sneakers but he’s over 50 if not older. He jumps up and down in lectures and runs around and does voices of robots and egoistic rich men and snotty women. He illustrates examples by acting out situations and once did a whole game show gimmick. It’s hilarious!
The other lecturers and tutors are ok I guess… not all that weird or whatever.. just normal. I find it amazing, though that time has been passing so fast! It feels like a week is over and done with so quickly. I just barely covered my reading and homework for the week and then I find I have to start again for the next lecture and so on.
Ok… I’m done complaining. Time to start on the reading for this week. Oh joy!
Ass

woman it’s as if you read my mind when you wrote all that.
OMG maybe it’s a common uni experience for Law students. I don’t have any problems with my commerce subjects currently but Law is KILLING me. Stupid appeals. Stupid cross appeals.

Yes! Bloody research essays due! Our’s is bloody case analysis - with the BLOODY BLOODY ratio decidendi. I HATE ratio decidendi AND obiter dictum. So confusing! I hate trying to figure out IF the case has a ratio or not. I hate justices who cannot agree - they’d make life easier for all of us.
