Soooo yesterday was ANZAC Day, which is like the Australian version of Merdeka, larh.
ANZAC stands for Australia And New Zealand Army Corps. Just in case you’re dying to know.
They had a dawn service to honor all those war heroes. And when they say dawn, they literally mean dawn. Yup… 3.45 a.m. And my poor pal Mabel got dragged out of bed by her host family and dumped into the car and they drove to the city to go listen to the speeches and songs. Bloody hell. And here’s the stupid part…. they got there late and so they could only hear everything and not see anything but the backs of other people in the crowd. So WHY could they not have stayed home and watched the service on the telly at 10 am like the rest of us smart people? hahaha.
They have ANZAC Day cookies…. I kinda like them… they’re like really really nice oaty, cerealy, crunchy cookies. AND they give 69 cents to the ANZAC charity thingie so I get to eat for a good cause.
I’m stuck on Big Brother now… how sick is that??? But stilll…… how can you NOT like watching guys who have oversizaed egos and chicks with half a brain and a mother and daughter who got their boobs done together on the mom’s b’day because it was a package deal?? And a guy named GAELEN who even looks and acts gay???? It just keeps getting better.
Saw the Melbourne Comedy Gala…. GOD those people are funny…. anyone wanna follow me to Melbourne next year to catch them live??

first of all.. SORRY to everyone who comes here cuz i have not been blogging in a while. been really caught up with things around college and stuffs like and also.. well.. let’s just say i’ve been lazy.
anyways, i went for the Quiksilver revolution tour yesterday the one featuring.. the one and only… the click five.
so well. the thing started at 12.. i think in the afternoon.. ends about 10?? my facts are a little off. the thing was right next to the condo where i’m staying and i didn’t even know about the revolution tour thing or the fact that click five was gonna be there… sad huh??
this is how my day started. i went to sleep about 4 smth.. and then woke up at 7.15am to get ready for the amazing G race. an amazing race type of thing organised by the student council of sunway college. so anyways, i was a volunteer for the day.. not a participant. thank god. when i got there, i got to know there was a station somewhere along the way which involved worms!!! so anyway, i was helping my friend at her station at elephant walk [note: gayatri u’d love this place, at the entrance are two elephants and the walk is damn nice but it’s all downhill… so susah wanna walk back up]. that’s where the revolution tour thingy was lah so that’s how i got to know about it all.. haha. i’m like a ‘katak di bawah tempurung’. don’t know what’s going on where anymore. so we were stuck there til quite late about 3 smth? we were at the station at 9 am mind u. then, i followed shalunu to midvalley cuz i didn’t want her to go so far alone..
anyways, when we got back we went to sunway pyramid to claim our free tickets to go for the revolution tour.. oh no we went to get them before we went to midvalley. they were giving out free tickets lah as u can already guess. so then we went at 9? i think. we reached there juz in time for the click five to come on stage. then whoo whee.. hehe. but i only know 2 songs of theirs… :p after a while i decided to go to the tents in the front cuz i wanted to c them. ahhhhhhh.. the bassist is hot!!! close up he’s so cute..
aiyoooo they were soo sooo soooo close. only security stood between us. and i didn’t have a camera. DAMN. so anyways, i enjoyed myself yesterday. it was one hell of a saturday and a saturday to remember as well…
ps: the beach was full of hot girls and guys..! 6 packs, flat stomachs.. haih. sad…

Ok here’s the thing… the title at the top? Strangely, it’s all true….
Weird right?
So anyways… it happened on my birthday. I woke up, answered a few phonecalls, got ready to go out and then walked to my bus stop. So then when I got there… I realised that I’d just missed the last bus by about 2 minutes. So, yeah I was pretty pissed because on Saturdays the buses don’t run every 10 minutes…. they’re more ‘relaxed’ and so it’s once every 30 minutes.
Then I decided to sit and wait… no point me walking up and down anyways. So there’s this old lady sitting on another bench, and so I presumed that she was waiting for the bus too… since only one bus ever stops at this stop.
See I made plans to meet my friend at noon and the bus would only come at 12.15 so i called up to let her know that I’d be late. So I had this long conversation on the phone and when i hung up I basically settled back into the bench to wait.
Then the old lady suddenly talks to me… which isn’t really weird because here everyone talks to everyone else. She asks me if I’m waiting for the bus. i say yes. She asks me if i’m going shopping in the city. i say yes. At this point I clearly know she’s been eavesdropping on my phonecall. Then she says “r u a student?” to which I once again reply in the affirmative.
THEN she tells me to study hard… make my parents proud and stuff like that… So i’m like yeah… ok…
She then shakes my hand say it’s really nice to meet me. Tells me she missed the last bus too. And then get this…. she says she going to get something to eat.. AND she asks me to help her out with 5 dollars!!!!!!!!
What the hell? I was pretty shocked… I mean she was actually asking me for money! So I said I didn’t carry any money… and then she said “Okay dear… sorry to trouble you” and then walked off…. down the road to a place where there were clearly to eating places.
It seems that the bus is always involved in every weird encounter I have. Ask Fishy bout the Desperate Dude…
Cheers!
